Neal,

My information does not show evidence that Mary Frazer was married prior to James Swint. However, I am going by information sent to me by Frazer cousins who had a typed copy of the William Frazer Bible (brother of Mary). There is no mention of a prior marriage to a Givens. The family tradition has that Alexander Frazer, his wife and large family moved from NC about 1836/37 with the intention of settling in Chambers Co. AL, but had to turn back and settle for a year or two in Meriwether Co., GA. This is likely where James Swint met Mary Frazer. They married in Chambers Co. AL, 29 Sept 1842, so he must have come over from GA to fetch her.

I still have unanswered questions about Mary, e.g. I don't know how old she was. She had several sisters, so I don't know which one she was in the Census information. Any light you can shed on her would be appreciated. Burial is also unknown.

Hope this helps.
Bonnie
