good afternoon, thank you very much for this valuable regards to the swint who owned the slave named miles i need to research that because my great great grandfather was miles.does it mention how old miles was? also rachel spaulding i wonder is she the daughter of thomas spaulding? i am doing my research for my film documentary and m.a.and ph.d.on muslims from africa to america and my line of thinking and research are based on the historical records of muslims and slaveowners of the book " african muslims in antebellum america " by allan austin mentions salih bilali who was the slave of thomas spaulding.sylvian diouf has done a book " servants of allah -african muslims in the americas " and it mentions the slaveowners of these muslims who were enslaved.on the census from 1880 my family of richardson's are listed as being from georgia and alabama.i remember reading my grandmother's newspaper from cass county, texas " the linden times " an article on the swints.i will try to get that information and forward it to of the o'neal's descendants henry f.o'neal was once the publisher or editor of the " linden times " when it first came out.henry francis o'neal's son hardy was who my great grandfather john richardson sharecropped for.this is excellent information for me to research.thank you very 338-compton,
