Hi, Cousin Brad --

I'm trying to place your SWINT line. "Willie David" just about guarantees that your a descendant of the "original" John SWINT who married Elizabeth CARTLEDGE and died in 1801 in Hancock County, Georgia. The original 7 sons of John & Elizabeth were John, Edmond, James, Frederic, William David, Joseph, and Samuel, and these names are used over and over in the southern SWINT families.

Have you seen Mildred Ezell's book "SWINT?" You'll be amazed -- maybe your library will have a copy or be able to get it on interlibrary loan. If not, I can do a few lookups for you in my copy, if you need them. Good to "meet" you!

Becky
