Hi Matt -

Could be - but from what I have gathered with my perusals of this forum, Swint may be German - (Schwint) as in (and don't be insulted) a person who keeps and farms pigs (Schwine). Might want to follow that lead a bit farther.

Then again maybe it was McSweeny misspelled. My last name was spelled Tideswell, Tedwell, Todwell, Tidswell and Tydeswelle before 1600. All depended on your accent and speech impedement(No orthodonture in those days).
