Hi Becky,
I would love to know what you know about Mary Abigail Swint Payne - please share it here, if you will.
Could she have appeared on a 1790 Laurens County, SC census as head of household and named as Abigail Bush living with 3 other females?
Could your JOhn Swint be the same one who claimed land patented to JOhn Bush in that same area about 1779?
Have yu run across any reference to the Bush name with your Swint family?
Where did JOhn Swint originate?
There are always so many unanswered questions - hope you ight have a few answers for me!
Thanks
