Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

James W. Swoyer

James W. Swoyer was a soldier in the US Civil War. He enlisted or volunteered from the state of Iowa. He survived this conflict, apparently came back to Iowa where he died and is buried. His wife, Olivia, moved her family of six children to either Dakota Territory or South Dakota. The time frame of this move is unknown to me. One of their children, John, b. Dec. 1869 in Iowa, m. Pearl Orinda Blanchard some time before 1907. John and Pearl had four children.

Looking for the death and burial place of James W. Swoyer
