Sykes in Fixby and Elland 1800's

I am attempting to link my 4xg grandfather Samuel James Sykes with family in Yorkshire. He was born between 1824-6, immigrated to Australian in 1853 aged c29. His wedding ceritficate listed his farmer father as Benjamin and his mother Betty [nee Smith??]. The 1841 and 51 census listed a Benjamin and Samuel in Fixby - both born in Elland. Also been given detail of a baptism, "1826, 23 may. Ist son of Benjamin and Betty Sykes [daughter of Edward Parkin] of Blackley Elland. Clothier"- which comes very close to fitting. Anyone have any connections to or information about this family?
