Sarah M. Sykes or Sikes

J. F. Sykes lived in Webster Parish Louisiana all during the years of 1870 thru his death in 1923 here in Webster Parish, along with his wife Sarah M. Leggett Sykes who he had married in Claiborne Parish in 1868. Does anyone know what the M. in Sarah's name stood for? I have looked for the date of her death and where she is buried for a long time. Her husband J.F. Sykes (Sikes ) died, as I have stated previously in 1923 here in Webster Parish, LA. His wife Sarah (Sallie)was born in 1850 in Georgia. Can someone help? Louisiana does not have a death certificate for Sarah and according to family, she is known to have died here in Webster Parish also. Bobbie in Louisiana
