Where does Samel Simon Sykes, born 1771 at Cwmyoy, Monmnouth
(shire) Wales - and his wife, Rachel Price, born 1775 at the same place- fit ?When Edward of England killed all the Welch Nobility and named his son the Duke of Wales -did the territory become England ? any one know the story here ?
Samuel married Rachel on 23 Dec 1793 at Cowmyoy, and died
4 years later abt 1797. Rachel outlived Samuel Simon.
One of their children, Elizabeth, born 29 Aug 1797 at Cwmyoy
married a James Davis in 1813, whom was born at Skenfrith, Monmouth, Wales.
Elizabeth and James were married in Nauvoo Hancock Co.,Ill.

James died in 1846 at a jumping off place for the pioneers,
called Winter Quarters, in Iowa.
Elizabeth died in 1855 in Salt Lake City, then Deseret, now
Utah. She is burried at Box Elder Co., Utah
