Hi

Yes please! I realise SIMS, SYMES and SYMS are interchangable - I have b,m and d certs that prove it.

I am particularly interested in a William SYMS b abt 1808 in Affpuddle Dorset. He married an Elizabeth abt 1828 at Affpuddle. One of his children - Albert Bennett Symes (Sims or Syms) was born in 1832 - chr 20 April 1832 in Affpuddle. There may have been two other sons chr 25/12/1829 and 30/4/1837 a William John and a John.

Albert Bennett Symes was my GGF. He married a Jane LeGresley abt 1864 in Jersey (Who was she?) They eventually settled in Melcombe Regis.

Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Regards

David Hughes
