I have not located any of my Symes relatives later than my 2d great-grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Symes, born April 6, 1817 at Askerswell, spouse of Job Rendell, born August 8, 1807 at Whitchurch Canonicorum, Dorset County. Her parents, Elizabeth Legg & John Symes, were both born in Askerswell also.

Job & Mary Elizabeth migrated to the Napanee, Ontario, Canada area in 1849. There are three first cousins, children of Sarah & Nathanael Symes: Charles, born 1849; Adela Sarah, born 1861; & Henry Caleb, born 1863. I do not places of birth for this family, but assume they were in Askerswell also. Do you have any information earlier than Alfred Symes?
