Hi Tony.

Greetings from grey chilly England.

It is really the Fairbrother family that is on my side.

Sarah Mabel FAIRBROTHER married Colmer in 1883 and they had an adopted daughter Dorothy Bessie born 1885 Shrewsbury.

Sarah was the sister in law of 1st cuz twice removed so well off the main line.

There are a couple of interesting items on Ancestry.co.uk which if you haven't already got I could email to you.

1) The list of the churches that Colmer was priest at in England
2) His marriage bond and allegation when he married Catherine Duncombe Cotton on 17 Dec 1871 in Kensington.

Apart from that I really don't have too much on the Symes family at the moment.

Sorry I couldn't help more but please get in touch if you would like copies of these two documents.

Happy hunting.

Rona.
