Symsom Sympson did it evolve to Simpson?
27 Jan 1685/86Westmoreland Co Order Book, 1675/76-1688/89, Part Four, p 67 -abstracted records by John Frederick Dorman:Rice Williams as marrying the relict of Jo: Hadnuts vs. John Symson executor of Hadnut.Complaint being made by the plaintiffs that there was some cattle which was Hadnutt's estate was not brought to appraizement (to witt) three cowes and an yearling, the Court adjudge the cattle to belong to Hadnutt's estate and doe order that the same be appraised.
(In Feb or Mar 1686 at Court, Order Book, Part 5, p 3, the Court determined that the cowes and calf properly belonged to Elizabeth Hadnutt, daughter of her father John Hadnutt, deceased, and should not be apprized in Hadnutt's estate.)
