Thank you for your additional information. I think I might have two Bertha's here:
In the 1880 Huron Co.(Fairhaven twp.) The age listed for George Pettey's wife Bertha is 22 (abt 1858) The census lists that she was born in MI, and both parents also. Living next door to his parents: John and Louisa.
The following information was passed down in the family:
John Christian Taack born abt. 10-1825 -Germany and Maria (Mary) Carolina Voelher Taack born abt/1823 -Germany Married 1852 died 3/1916.
Children: Anna-b.1848, Wilomen-b.1851--Micklenburg Germany
Rachel-b.1853. BERTHA-b.1856, Isaac-b.1858, Mary-b.1860--Ontario Canada.
Rosina-b.1863 and Carl-b.1866--MI
