Hi Steve,
John's brother Denis Rourke who came to Australia on the Chowringhee is my ancestor. His son Henry married Mary McAlpin. They had a daughter Maryann who married Leonard Smith. They had a son Sidney Leslie Vernon who in turn had a son Vernon who had a daughter Andrea (me).
He settled in Lilydale and is buried in the Lilydale old cemetery with his wife Ann and brother Bryan and his wife Annie. I have quite alot of information on Denis' family and would be happy to send it to you. I am very interested in what you have found out regards Hyacinth.
