I do not know who Bertha's Parents were. I have been unable to find anything more than the son Russell.

I don't know if you are familiar with the Fairfield area, but Pin Oak Cemetery where Bertha is burried is north of the Sims Crossroads. Sims is about half way between Fairfield and Wayne City. There are no other Taaffe's burried there. She is burried with her Husband's (Gregg) family.

I am originally from Fairfield and still have family there. Actually about half of my family is buried in Maple Hill.

My fathers sister is the only sibling of their original family left. I am trying to communicate with her to see if she has any information on Bertha's side of the family. I will let you know if I find a firm connection.
