Hello Rhoda & Sarah, My GGrandmother was Mary Taaffe, daughter of Joseph and Ann [Cameron]. Mary was born 25 May 1833, maybe Dublin or perhaps Edenderry. She and her sister Eliza, who was born Edenderry, were sent to Australia 1849. Sometime after that a brother named Joseph also arrived in Aust. Mary had been in a workhouse in Dublin prior to being sent out here. I have had no luck tracing Mary's parents. I wondered if either of you girls may know something of this family??? I had an email from a Randal Taaffe saying "Is that what happened to poor little Mary", after seeing one of my message boards, but I cannot get him to reply after contacting him with my information. Please can you help me?
