Deceased Name: Betty N. Tabaka
SPRINGFIELD - Betty N. Tabaka, 84, of Springfield died Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, at Lewis Memorial Christian Village.
She was born Nov. 17, 1922, in Litchfield, the daughter of John E. and Mayme L. Cavinder Upton and was raised by her stepfather, William Lambert. A son, Charles W. Tabaka, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Tabaka was a secretary in the claims department for State Farm Insurance for 19 years and a beautician for six years in Litchfield. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors: son, Edwin J. (wife, Donna) Tabaka of St. Peters, Mo.; daughter, Deborah K. (husband, Tom) Milcic of Chatham; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Edwin L. Upton of Independence, Kan.; sister, Pauline Chubb of Lincoln; and several nieces and nephews.
Private family services were held, the Rev. Jeff Whitehouse officiated. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield.
Vancil Memorial Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
