Hi Marjo,

I am 28 and was born and live in Perth, Australia. My father, Karl Heinz was born in Halberstadt in what was East Germany in 1943. He was an only child and came to Australia when he was about 18. The only family member I know of who may be or may not be alive is an uncle who I think is still in Halberstadt.

I am not sure if somewhere along the line the spelling changed, but I am interested in finding relatives. As far as I know we are the only ones in Australia with this spelling, but there are others with your spelling.
