I wonder if you or any of the other Landsmann can help me...
My grandparents were Stoffel and Barbara (Kovenz) Mundloch from Grabatz. Came to Cleveland, OH ca. 1904.
I have a cousin in Clevand Marilyn Jedan, whose mother was Betty (Halbmann) Jedan. Marilyn and I are cousins we know, but don't know how(!) Betty Halbmann called my grandmother "aunt Barbara". Betty's parents were Adam and Anna (Tabar) Halbmann.
I also know that my grandfather Stoffel Mundloch had an aunt who was his godmother named Philippina Christ who m. (1871) Stoffel's uncle Karl Mundloch in Grabatz. Philippina Christ was the d/o Nickolaus and Barbara (Halbmann) Christ.
I feel sure that Barbara (Halbmann) Christ is related to Betty (Halbmann) Jedan but I don't know how. I don't know the parents of Adam Halbmann and Anna Tabar his wife.
Wonder if you know any of these Tabar families of Grabatz or how they might be related?
Adam I think was the immigrant from Grabatz b. ca. 1886. He also had a daughter Barbara Halbmann who m. Nickolaus Koppi.
There is also another Barbara Halbmann d/o Johann b. ca 1867 who m. Anton Neurohr ca. 1888 who immigrated to Cleveland. I don't know how she fits in, if she even does...
My grandmother Barbara Kovenz b. 1884 was d/o Peter and Elizabeth (Emmel) Kovenz. She had a sister Margaret Kovenz m. Anton Freimann.
My cousin Marilyn and I don't know anyone living who can tell us how we are related...!
