Christine Tabbert was married on 28 December 1921, probably in Barnes County, North Dakota. Her husband's name was Edmund (Ed) Tabbert. He died in January of 1979.

"I remember the family telling the story of Ed and Christine's romance. It seems that Ed had been dating Christine's older sister and he had bought her a lavaliere as a gift. A lavaliere was a little pendant on a chain to be worn as a necklace. She evidently did not want it and threw it at him. Christine picked it up and said, 'If you don't want it, I'll take it.'--which she did! Ed started dating Christine then and soon they married and (I hope) lived happily ever after. At any rate they had five children and lived on a farm just over two miles east of our farm."

Christine was always called "Chris". Her husband was my first cousin. Good luck in your search!
