Also known as Amon and Amos. Anon had Revolutionary War service.

Per Wrights book Part I, page 31--The Revolutionary service of Amon Taber is as follows: Private Captain Christopher Manchester"s Co. 24 days dated Tiverton Oct. 4, 1775. Pardon Gray - per war papers in New Bedford Publ. Lib. Folio XVI p. 8 S.R.C. Office: 15 days Tiverton, Capt. Isaac Cook's Co. Col. John Cook's Regt. R. I. Militia May 22 and June 22, 1777; pay roll H. E. Rec'd Newport 8 days Tiverton; Capt Isaac Cook's Co. 1778, 1779 for town [R. I. State Library]
