Thomas Taberer had four children, according to every record I've been able to find in these 20-30 years. By his first marriage, he had Ruth ()who married John Newman) and Mary (who married ?? Webb - William I think, but I don't have it in front of me.) By his second wife, Margaret ?? WOOD (relict of John Wood of Isle of Wight County, VA) he had Christian and Elizabeth.

Christian married first William Outland 15 Nov 1678, documented in the Quaker records, and had sons Cornelius, William, and Thomas. Her husband William died 24 May 1687, and she married Robert Jordan on 2 Dec 1687. They had one child, a daughter Christian Jordan, and Christian Taberer Outland Jordan died 26 June 1689. She did NOT marry a Copeland, you see.

Elizabeth married John Copeland. I don't have the exact dates for Elizabeth, so I cannot be as positive about her as I can about Christian. Elizabeth had three children: Margaret Copeland, Joseph Copeland (mentioned in Thomas Taberer's will), and Thomas Copeland. This information is from Lyle Keith Williams' book THE BACHELOR-WILLIAMS FAMILIES AND RELATED LINES. He was, at the time of his writing, head of the Federal Center in Fort Worth where the Southwest Regional National Archives are located, and was recognized as a very careful researcher. His book traced many of the Quaker lines from Isle of Wight County and also from North Carolina.

The Internet is full of undocumented information about the Taberer family, some true and some quite opposed to the real records. Everything that I have is documented unless I specifically state that it is my speculation. All of the above is taken from either Hinshaw's Quaker Encyclopedia for Virginia or from other recognized sources of Virginia records. If you find any errors in what I have, though, please tell me. I try very hard to spread only things that are accurate.
