I have seen that information about Ann Bennet for a long time, but I never saw a word of documentation for it anywhere. I've written to a number of posters of it, asking if they can point me to a source, but I've never heard back from any of them. As I see it - William Taberer, Sr., never left Derbyshire as best I can tell. Ann Bennet was from Isle of Wight County, VA. When and how were they supposed to have met and married?

Also, I doubt that William Taberer was born in 1585, as those posts usually claim. I think that would make him just too old when his children were born - especially those born up to 1641. I cannot find a christening record for him that I consider to be reasonable. A few Taberer children were christened in St. Werburg's parish around 1600-1610, and they were said to be the children of William Taberer, most certainly of an older generation. But I cannot find any records to tie that William to 'our' William.

I have the record of Sarah Taberer, daughter of William, being christened 13 August 1634, but I have no information about her after William's will in 1652, and nothing about her marriage. I know that her mother, Ann Hallowes Taberer, died in 1684 and was buried at St. Werburg's church and listed in their burial register.
