Thomas Taberer of Virginia was born around 1620-27 in Derby, Derbyshire, England. He was the son of William Taberer and I believe from a first marriage, but I've not yet found documentation for that marriage. I believe Thomas to have been the second child. William Taberer left a will, recorded in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury in late 1652, in which his children William, Thomas, James, Nathaniel, Joshua, John, Mary, and Rebecca are named. From James onward, these children are listed in the parish register of St. Werburgh's Parish in Derby - not to be confused with another St. Werburgh's parish near Derby at Sponden.

Joshua Taberer died and left a will in Virginia in late 1652. His brother John also died in Virginia and left a will in 1654. I believe Thomas died about 1694.
