For now, I'm going to look at Martha White & Henry Samuel Tabram. I didn't know that Henry had been married previously - who was he married to (date? place?) His son, Henry Thomas doesn't show up on the 1881 Census. Maybe he had died before that? I know that his 2 sons by Martha were with her in 1881. I presume that your partner is descended from Frederick John. Is that right? Apparently he was born about February 1871. Can you confirm that? What is his full birth date? & place? The other son, Charles Henry, apparently was born December 1872. I don't have full date or place for him either. They probably were born in Southwark. Can you confirm that? I thought I had some leads on Charles Henry's wanderings, but nothing has come of those leads. I found a Charles Tabron who came to Toronto, Canada in 1904 as one the Home Children. But - he was 20 years old at the time, which would make him too young to be the right Charles!
I also found a Charles H. Tabrum living in the state of Rhode Island in the 1920s. He was supposedly born about 1878. The information I found indicates he was born in London, England. Cannot find enough information to identify him any better. I will work at this, though I don't think he is the right Charles.
I have one other lead I'm still working on. Do you have anything on Charles Henry? Any family stories? Maybe Charles never even left England?
You probably have all this information on the sons. I would be interested in what you have.
