The majority of people in the family who would know much about Catherine (whose surname was also often written as "King") have steadily died off over the last few years. Marriage records are at St. Joseph Church in Bay City (be prepared to wait more than a year for a reply). They're probably buried at St. Patrick's cemetary in Bay City. BTW, Hampton is a township, not a city...and a very large township at that. The Tacey's originally settled on Plum island, which is now underwater just offshore from the Bay/Tuscola county line in the Saginaw bay. Before that they lived in Goderich ON, and before that Joliette PQ. There's quite a bit of evidence that Prosper Jr and his brother Henry were not the natural children of Prosper and Henriette. Both parents were tiny people with blond hair and blue eyes. Both sons, plus daughter Edwige, were well over 6' tall with extremely dark eyes (impossible for 2 blue-eyed people to have anything but blue-eyed children), striking noses, and jet black, wavy hair. There's family folklore that they were Indian babies, and seeing the photos, it's extremely likely.
