Dear Wally, Thanks for referencing my really old message. I have been on a genealogical hiatus of sorts to keep my brain from totally frying. :D I am doing this for my three sons (Tackaberry). About 3 years ago, my oldest son took a trip to Kemptville and photograghed some old headstones in the cemetery there. Some of them were deteriorated beyond recognition so, I've been waiting for my ex-husband (my sons' father) to research the town/cemetery records to put names and dates on these Tackaberry headstones. Meanwhile, my research is at a standstill. That said, I have some of the names of Benjamin Tackaberry marriages that you have listed - namely, Elizabeth Hayes and Elizabeth Rath. I searched for Godkin in my database and came up empty. That's not to say the name shouldn't be there. I have a text file of a message posted right here entitled "Irish Tackaberrys 1656-1798". Have you seen it? Apparently, Mr. James Godkin of Kemptville Ontario supplied a lot of info regarding the progenitor of the Tackaberry family. There are a LOT of Tackaberrys buried in the Kemptville cemetery so he just might be tied in to the Tackaberrys somehow. If you haven't seen the message or can't find it, I have it saved as a text file that I can send you. The name "Fossy" (as a given name) is mentioned. I have done a few family trees in my lifetime but this one has to be among the most difficult because of the many various spellings of the name - some of which hardly come close to resembling "Tackaberry". Regarding the three Tackaberry girls you mention - do you have given names for these girls? I will look forward to receiving your Tackaberry references. We just might find a connection there. Regards.... Dot Notify Administrator about this message?
