Betty , As a matter of fact I do have the picture of
Bud and first wife--- also have another picture of an
older man and woman that my mother( age 93 dau of Joshua
Levi Morris and Benny Angus) got from my grandfather's house after they both died , she said that her mother
Joshua's wife said this was Joshua Levi Morris ' father.
Obviously this must be his second wife. My grandfather
spoke some spanish especially when mad and my mother said that her mother told her that his mother was one of the
most beautiful woman in that country(????) and led my
mother to believe that she was of Spanish descent -- since
it is obvious that Octavia certainly was not it must have
been another wife. Mother was led to believe that she
was buried on the Rio Grande and that they had another family. Told this to Dixie Morris in Giles Co. but she
was not aware of this . Mother also said that someone in the family went out there I always assumed TX to get
money apparently he had done well the second time around,
but got nothing. Lots of unanswered questions. Did get a
death certificate from around Brownsville of a William J. Morris who was buried in Potters field grave no relations ,
buried by a Fred Morris undertaker ( tried with no luck to
get info on old funeral home) this William J. had
been a laborer on a plantation there . Just not sure on this one. There is also a William J. Morris buried in Cooke Co. TX outside of town . Hard to tell but he must have
had other children by this second wife.
Anything you can add to this?
