OBIT - Gerald Tait
TAIT _ Gerald David. David was born March 24, 1914 in Rugby England. His family immigrated to Canada in 1920's, settling in Vancouver. David served in WWII enlisted with the 6th Field Regiment of Engineers in North Van. He was stationed with British Intelligence where he helped with the planning of D-Day invasion. His skills were put to use both as an Engineer planning bridges as well as fighting and sketching many scenes in France and Italy. David returned home after the War to take up Sign writing where he was self employed until his retirement. Predeceased by his wife Donna Tait in 1977. He cared deeply for his family and had a never ending love for all. Dad was a kind gentle soul who never asked for much. He was a true soldier till the end March 20, 2005. Sadly missed by his son Rick, caregiver of 25 years, Mike and Liz and family, Pamela and Oliver and family. Rest in Peace Dad Until we meet again. Many thanks to Dr. F.
