Visiting Talbott roots

I'm planning a trip to the Washington, DC area later this year. For those of you who have done research or live in the area, is there a specific genealogy library nearby? Also, the old Poplar Knowle location..does it still exist in any form & is there an old cemetery (or other cemetery) where Richard & his early descendants might be interred?

I won't have much time, but if I could get a hotel in the right city (perhaps Glen Burnie?), I could at least get to the local library for my own documentations.
