One of Ruth's daughters is, I believe, Anna Rose (b. 1 June 1806, Laurel Hill, PA), who married Robert Sylvester Kelso (b. 1806, NJ) in Ohio in 1826. Anna Rose Kelso claimed descent on her maternal side (Talkington)from a Miami chief called "Tall King Tut" by the British, a name that was anglicized to "Talkington." This Miami chief is said to have married Ruth's grandmother (unknown) in New Jersey. I am still researching the Miami connection. The pre-1755 history of these families needs fleshing out but likely involves the Ohio Company land grant around Fort DuQuesnes, PA, and the Rose, Hutchinson, and Talkington families.
