Hi Rhonda
I've tried to contact you direct, but can't get the email through.
Hope you can help. From your notes, it looks as if something might have happened to Leonard - I hope not.
These are the details I have for Elizabeth Osborne, who would seem to be the daughter of John Osborne and Mary Tangey, as the dates fit.
I have only found one census entry for Elizabeth,
1851 Census
John Fray Head 75 born East Tilsbury
Elizabeth wife 72 born Antoney (sic) Cornwall
Living in Great Tisbury
Redruth Parish Register has John Fry, Private in the Wiltshire Militia and Elizabeth Osbourne soujourner in this parish married14th day of June 1797. Both marked. Witnesses were Richard Wilson and Edwd Lemson, or Lemon. In June 1797 the Wiltshire Militia were stationed in Penryn, then were at Exeter from Dec 1797 to Ap/May 1798. Their next move was to Plymouth (presumably Millbrook in Maker) from June1798 to Dec 1799, then in 1800 to Exeter, Plymouth, and finally Gosport in 1801, by which time it seems my John was no longer enlisted, as he stayed in Maker. The thing is, I couldn't find the Militia at Maker or thereabouts before 1797, so Elizabeth was also unikely to be there.
We have checked all the Cornish registers for anywhere with the name of Anthony, also with no luck.
I'm hoping that some of these details might mean something.
Regards
Pauline
