Tapley Bingham,b. 1801 in KY

I have a Tapley Bingham, (male) who was born around 1801, probably in or around Knox County, KY. I was thinking, since Tapley is an unusual first name, that it was actually his mother's maiden name. Does anyone have a female who may have married a Bingham, then had four little boys born between 1801 and 1804? These four boys were bound out by order of the Sheriff of Knox County, KY in 1808, so the parents may have died about this time.

Thank you for your time with this question.
