Hi, Anita, Yes, I believe there is a connection. Sarah Jane was the daughter of George W. Tapley and Sarah Ann Dye. However, that is the extent of what I know. I have not been able to find George and Family after the 1860 census. Do you have any of this information. Sarah Ann Dye was the daughter of Jonathan Dye and a Mary E. from South Carolina. Sarah Jane had a brother George W. Jr. who is the relative I am researching. He married Lula ann Elder in Union county, Ms. in 1885. Do you know what happened to Sarah Jane's mother and father. This has been a real mystery to those of us researching this line of tapleys. The Tapleys came from Georgia. George W. Jr. appeared on the 1880 census in Union county, Ms. doing farm work for a Dolph Pannell(Parnell). Can you enlighten me further. Would like to hear from you. Bettye Dove
