John B. Tapley, I believe, was the s/o James Robert and Mary (Bryan/O'Brien) Tapley. James was not one of the Maugerville pre-Loyalist Tapley's, but was likely second cousin to Alexander Tapley of that family. James arrived in NB about 1792 from Ireland, after having gone to Ireland about 1782 from Massachusetts as a ship-builder (and marrying in Ireland.)
John B. Tapley appears to have been b. Cork, Ireland 12MAR1783, and d. near Sheffield, Sunbury Co., New Brunswick 1874, bur. Ripples Community Cemetery, Sunbury Co., NB, m. Annie S. Verner (b. 1796, d. 1881, bur. Ripples Community Cemetery, Sunbury Co., NB.) As best I can make out, their children included:
JAMES TAPLEY b. ca. 1823
WILLIAM TAPLEY b. NB ca. 1827, m. JERUSHA _____ (b. NB ca. 1835.) In Sheffield, Sunbury Co., NB in 1881 age 54, English, farmer and Baptist; with Jerusha age 46, Irish and Baptist.
CAROLINE AMELIA TAPLEY b. FEB1831, d. APR1911, bur. Ripples Community Cemetery, Sunbury Co., NB, m. JOHN WARNFORD DENSMORE (b. NOV1823, d. MAY1897, bur. Ripples Community Cemetery, Sunbury Co., NB)
DAVID TAPLEY b. ca. 1835
Is there any indication of other children?
