Hi Angie
Your referance to Amelia Stolier is really Amelia Stokes, from New York City. She was the daughter of Edward Stokes and Mary Hughs from Philadelphia. Her Brother was Edward S.Stokes, aka "Ned". He had an interesting life. An associate of Jim Fisk (robber baron), he shot and killed Fisk in the late 1800's over the affection of Josie Mansfield a close friend of both men. Ned went to jail afer a long and famous court battle. He died in 1902 at age 62. Amelia died in child birth abt 1854. He daughter Nancy B. Tapley is my great grandmother. She married William P. (Peacock) Gillis. My grandmother was Mable (Gillis)Keith.
