Susan, WOW-you really are amazing at this,I wish I knew how to delve into these records better. I did get out my Grandpa Frank's obituary & his parents John P. Tarter & Matilda Jane Calhoun were married in Adair County,Ky-not Pulaski County. That date is 10-23-1881. The reason they vanished from the KY records is because they settled in Indiana later & that's where all my branch of the family was born.Eventually,John & Jane Tarter moved on to Racine, Wisconsin where they died, but Grandpa Frank & his wife Polly Martin Tarter stayed here in Indpls.I would love to find out more about where John & Jane are buried in Wisconsin, how do I go about finding out more about this? Thanks again for you quick response!!!Judi
