Hi Jennifer,Thanks for the info, you & I are definitely from the same tree, however, the John Tarter I'm refering to is my Great-grandfather,& his dad was Squire T.Tarter.John was born in March 1856 in Pulaski Co. Squire T.Tarter was born in April 1819 in Pulaski Co.John P.Tarter was married to Matilda Jane Calhoun and they were married in Adair Co.,KY where my grand-father Frank Tarter was born. I got a lot of this info from James Turpin's web-page at RootsWeb.com.However,I have also been told not to necessarily take all of that as fact, because none of it was backed up with souces.I hope he's right-he had a lot of info. Thanks & let me know if you have anything to add.Judi(probably your cousin!!)
