My great grandmother was Arter Tarter Harris and who lived in Texas for a while. My grandmother Anise was born there and remained with her aunt - Sally (Aunt Sal) Kingston, Kingsley - unsure of last name, following death of her mother. Her father and 3 siblings returned to his home Floyd Co.,Ky. Anise joined them at about age 14. This might have been Franklin, Texas - there was a Cooper Dry Goods owned by a family member in Franklin.I recall El Paso being mentioned. I have no information about Artie Tarter at all. I know Anise had maternal relatives in Va. - Falls Church, Wyth Co, (Beene Station -in Tenn or Va)& Somerset. I also recall a picture of young man in Frankin 1910, in front of Cooper Store named Tom Pemroyal. Would like any information on Artie & her ancestors. My grandmother Anise born about 7/28/83 or 84. Artie married John Q. Harris in 1870.She died 10/3/1890, of heart problems. Also I recall her family having a reunion at Hungry Mother State Park in Va. in 50's or 60's/
