GEE! Thanks
On page 209 please notice #6 Grover C. m Nell Ethel Norman (orgin of my first name) and she is listed as 1st wife
hinting there may have been a second wife. Grover was my grandfather and divorced my Grandmother before I was born. He moved to an Osage Indian reservation and when he died I was visiting my Dad's sister, Zenia, in Arizona.
. My father was Robert Eugene Tarter and my mother Nellie Redd (oscar misspelled red), both deceased; but, Zenia Mae Tarter Hughes is still living and I am her executor. She always told me Dr. Oscar had the book wrong but did not tell me how. She is no longer coherent so I will have to wait until I execute her estate and examine her records which I understand are quite comprehensive.

Notice Lou Courtney Windley (fifth wife of James K.P.Darter), I remember her quite well and often played at her home in Arkansas. She died as a result of an auto wreck.

I remember when Dr. Darter wrote my Mother for info on my family. Mother and I (the oldest of 6 children) were quite busy and angry since Dad had abandoned us. I have 5 sisters. But I wish we had answered - Now.
I know or knew the other in that lineage or more correctly the issue of them.
One other thing about the book. Dr. Darter kept listing Pulaski county Virginia and in a few places later Pulaski, Kentucky. There is no Pulaski Virginia that I am aware of.
Many Thanks again.
Norman Douglas Tarter, PD
