Susan,
I now have found my Grandfather and his firs family in the 1900C, & 1910C as well as my Great Grandfather, Robert L. Tarter in 1900C,1910C and 1920 and Rose Williams has gradiously provided me with the name of my Grandfather's second wife. The problem that leaves me with is who was Robert L. Tarter's father.
The Census records list the following children for Robert L. Tarter and wife Ludy Courtney Windley:
Grover C., Oscar (dob 12/1889), Effie (dob 2/1891or2), Robert Earl (dob Oct./1895), Minerva M.(dob 3/1898), Mell (listed as 11 yrs. in 1910), Zych (bod 1905), Eugenia (listed as 2 years old in 1910C). Everyone, children and wife are listed as born in Arkansas but Robert L. and his parents are listed as being born in Kentucky. I wish I knew where in Kentucky and who Robert's father and mother were. I know some of Grover, Effie, and Earl (Robert Earl) but the rest I know nothing and have been able to find nothing.
If you or anyone out there can shed some light on any of the above it would be greatly appreciated. I have hit a wall.
