Richard,
You mentioned a Balzar Tarter who had a son born in NC in 1771. Would this son be named Christian or Chrisley? I have an ancestor named Christian "Chrisley" Tarter, born in 1771, but I thought perhaps VA. He married a Barbara Powers and they had a daughter, Elizabeth Tarter Burton. Does any of this match up?
Thank you,
Greg
