Thanks for your interest in my side of the family.
Here's the information I have on my great grandfather Ebenezer Tarter. His children were(dates not included)
1.Edward (Hop) Tarter. Married Mary Jane Johnson. Children- Cloda/Theo/Leona. Cloda married Elmer Harmon. Theo married Carlie (Buck) Hughes. Leona married John Wiggington.
2. Thomas Franklin(my grandfather). Married Pearlie Frances Polston. Both are buried in Decatur , IL. Children: Wilburn(my father). Married Letha Shepard. Two children: David/Carol. David married Carol Autenrieth. Carol married David Sparrow/Charles Harris/Lyle Poland. Woodrow, Willie, Wally, Walter, Zelpha,Zeona, znd Zillie.
3. Samuel Tarter..never married. no children
4.Liza Tarter. Married Arkillus Wilson. Children: Ollie Elmer, Elfrey, Eray, Meckley, Millie. Married Joe Wheeler later ..no children. Ollie married John Oakes. two children : Oda and Erliss. Elfrey married Maggie Oakes. Children: James, Ellis, Elzy,Henry, Millie, Margaret, Glen,and Howard. Settled around Jacksonville, IL.
Elmer married Josie Smith. Children: Delno, Orsha, Leota, Elma lois, Floyd, Lowell, Russell, Dallas, Falus, and Gladys.

I have information on several Tarters from the letters I wrote to KY in 1979-1980. Let me know if you need further info. Stay in touch.
