I am researching Mary Teackle. Mary was the wife of Reuben Ross who was thought to have a connection to Chief John Ross but to date can not be identified. Mary Teackle it has been said was a native american. Teackle is a "white" american shortened name for a longer indian name. Any information about her or her family would be greatly appreciated. She was born and married Reuben in Guilford Co. NC, but later moved to Grayson Co. Virginia. Howard I'm not sure if this is the same line as yours, but it is getting interesting. I will be glad to share with you what I do have on Mary Teackle.
Best wishes with your research
