Jerry,
Have never seen a single document that had simington on it.I`ve seen one that had simerson, but not symington or simington. The simerson is in the History of Attala county,Mississippi which is full of errors such as his wife is kin to Jefferson Davis with not a shread of proof.Simerson should have been Simonson just a grammarical error which back in those days was common.Like I said Magnus does not occur in the Teague family anywhere until Magnus Simonson daughter Elenor marries William Teague !!!!!If you go to the Union co.,S.C. genweb site you will find Magnus Simonson`s will in 1795 and in it he names his daughter already married as Elenor Teague, the wife of WILLIAM TEAGUE.Not one person has ever shown me anything that puts SYMINGTON OR SIMINGTON connected to Magnus Teague. Our Teague`s namely William and his brothers lived very close to Magnus Teague in 1700 South Carolina.Ask any of those Symington or Simington people to show you any proof and I can tell you the answer they CAN`T !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
