TEDDER CENSUS DATA—Georgia
The area that became Warren County:In the William Lynn Bible are the names: Tedders and Hearn. Children of Charles Tedders and wife, Martha Hearn: Nancy Tedders (Married James Lynn) was born Oct. 30, 1775.Samuel Tedders was born 10 Feb, 1777 and married Feb 1 1798, Martha Tedders was born Dec 28, 1778, Elizabeth Tedders was born April 24, 1780.Tedder Family Genealogy Forum.
Note: William Lynn was born 3 March 1744 in Rowan County NC, died 1829 in Warren County Georgia. He came as a single man in a group of 49 from Rowan to the area that became Warren County Georgia. In 1769 he was given a hundred acres and in 1773 bought more land.Documentation: See Internet article on William Newton Lynn Sr.Most likely the Hearn’s family who lived beside him and Charles Tedders came with him from Rowan NC to Georgia. There was a George and Samuel Tetter/Teader in Rowan at the time William Lynn lived there. There is a possibility that Charles was the son of George or Samuel Teeter.George was last documented in Rowan in 1783.There is documentation on the Internet on Hearn families in Rowan County NC. Most likely the reason Charles Tedders is in the Lynn Bible is because William’s son James married Charles’s daughter Nancy.

Note 1:Current theory by a family descendant has Samuel with the following children:
With Martha Hearn, Mary Jemima, Mazy(Phillip Burrow married Masey Tedards on 3 Dec 1818 in Jasper), Samuel, Nancy (have seen a married name Harbuck), Wyche,Epsey. With unknown spouse (could this be Elizabeth Ann Robinson ?): Malinda, Martha, Rebecca, Aletha, Lucinda, Charles M(b 1830).Also by process of elimination William G(born near 1825) is Samuel’s son. That is, all children in the 1830 and 1840 census the age of William were accounted for.Note 2:Do not know if this is an English or German family, but if English, Standard English Naming Patters documented on the Internet states that first son is named after father’s father, in this case could be Samuel Tetter of Rowan.Second son is named after mother’s father, in this case William.Third son is named after father, in this case Charles M.
