I just wanted to follow up a bit on the
story I wrote. I misspelled the town they came from the first time. The correct spelling is Shillato, and still exists today.
I also said Gundolfo played the fiscelletto,
the flute, it's not a flute, it's a recorder,
like a small clarinette.

When they first came to america they lived in NewYork city. There Frank met his wife who lived on Mullberry st in little Italy. Her name was Madelina Spanosa Laploca, born to Grace, and Joe. They came from Sicily to america when Lena was 5 years old. Does anybody know Joe, and Grace's family from NY? Then Frank, and Lena moved to Cooperstown NY where they owned a small farm. Then they came to Rochester.

My father Angelo married Josephine Ruggerieo. Her father was Emanuel, born 1885 - died 1957. he was born in Ragusa Sicily. Her mother was Nunzia Runfola born - 1885 - died 1973, and was born in Monte Magorie(Major Mountain) Sicily. Ironically, I'm told Shillato, and Monte Magorie are only 10 miles apart, I wonder if all my grandparents paths ever crossed!? My mother had 5 brothers,Joe, Tony, Charles, Sam, and Russell. She also had 4 sisters, Mary, louise, Dorthy, and Marjorie. Some of these were half brothers and sisters , because both their parents had previous spouses that died. Nunzia was married to a Cosmo Ange.
I know that both Emanuel, and Nunzia had several brothers that were in Sicily, and America, Heared of any of these names?
