Rebecca, First of all I know nothing of the TenBrink Family. But according to my records you may of descend from the Wesselsen TenBroeck emigrated from Westphalia to the Netherland about the middle fo the Seventeenth Centery.
He was born in Munster Westphalia about 1636. The first record of him in this country, was on the ship "Faith" in December 1659. He was to suppose to have come over w/ Peter Minuit, with his two brothers and a sister. Dirik TenBroeck settled in Albany , New York, Hendrix settled in New York City and his sister Cornelia.

In 1675, Wesselen and Maria TenEyck TenBroeck , settled in Kingston, New York. He received a grant of land there in 1676 ane erected a stone house known as the "Senate House" of the State of New York.
In which the 1st constitution of the State was adopted in 1777. After Maria died in 1694, Wesselen married a second time, Laurentia Kellenaer. After his mariage, he resided at the Manor House at Fox hall.
I know that the TenBroeck was changed to Tenbrook, and Timbrook among other spellings.
This may be a clue for you to look into. Good Luck
Sue Timbrook O'Bryan
