Sampson Tener was born abt. 1800 in Baltimore, Maryland and died December 31, 1883 in Highland County, Ohio. He married Rachel S. McDill in Baltimore, Maryland. She was born March 30, 1804 in Baltimore, Maryland and died September 1, 1860 in Highland County, Ohio.

1. Jemina Tener born March 18, 1828 in Brushcreek, Highland County, Ohio and died May 6, 1883 in Highland County, Ohio. She married James J. Turner November 20, 1846 in Highland County, Ohio, son of John Turner and Rebecca Gall.
